Coming Soon!

From the Publisher’s Desk

To My Readers, Friends, and Supporters of The Dam News

First, thank you—from the bottom of my heart—for your patience, encouragement, and continued support during this unexpected pause in publication.

Over the past several months, I’ve experienced a season of health challenges and personal responsibilities that required my full attention and time away from home. Though I didn’t expect to be gone this long, I’ve never stopped believing in this paper or the incredible people it serves.

The Dam News has always been about celebrating our local communities—sharing the stories, businesses, events, and voices that make our region so special. I'm working toward resuming publication very soon and will keep you updated as plans come together.

I’m also preparing to introduce something new and exciting that will expand how we connect with one another—but more on that soon. For now, I just want to say thank you for sticking with me. Your support means everything.

Stay tuned... we’re not done yet. 💛

With heartfelt gratitude,
Brenda Beran

My Story

When I moved here a few years ago from out of state, I realized that all things revolve around beautiful Lake Sakakawea. The communities wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for the Dam and because of the incredible history in this area, The Dam News will celebrate all communities and those within that make this area so special.
