10-3-24-We will be back on schedule next week with the October 9th issue.  Thank you for your patience as the Editor continues to recover and an unexpected IT issue is fixed. Your grace & understanding means so much.

Hello October!  The season is definitely changing…. this little paper has in a way too but my mission stronger than ever.  Steadfast and true to support local small businesses, organizations, events in all our communities by helping to promote them and celebrating all those within. There are countless angels amongst us and their stories may seem insignificant but I think otherwise.  17 years of family vacations and watching my dad’s ability to find commonality no matter where we were was something I respected so much of him for.  No judgement and truly beautiful in a world where that’s everyday commonplace and hurtful. I pray for less of in life.

So many blessings and give thanks everyday but in July I received an email that brought tears of joy.  The North Dakota State Historical Society reached out to me and The Dam News is officially part of the State Archives.  I’m so incredibly honored and my heartfelt thanks to you all for your love and support!  See you next week!

For The Dam News, you can view a couple of ways by going to “All Issues” at the top right-hand corner to view the current and all previous issues or click on the “This Week’s Issue "Fish and Rod” icon above and click on the paper itself or by clicking this direct link THE DAM NEWS.

I appreciate you viewing this website and supporting the communities that make this area truly one-of-a-kind. We have only just begun!

My Story

When I moved here a few years ago from out of state, I realized that all things revolve around beautiful Lake Sakakawea. The communities wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for the Dam and because of the incredible history in this area, The Dam News will celebrate all communities and those within that make this area so special.
